End of the Year

I would like to see if we can find a way to dialogue and share ideas and materials for level 4 on this blog.

I am particularly interested in ways to strengthen writing.  Also what do you think would make this really easy for you to particpate?

Monday November 28

Today we used your PC /PS test , Nancy, as a review for the present tense.  I also used it as a chance to practice some techniques from Teach Like a Champion. I worked with   voice   right is right   no opt out and format ( answer ina complete sentence)  It was fun and everyone was really engaged.  As usual it took longer than I anticipated.
Then we went to  the book and looked at the form of the future with will and be+ going to+ verb and  did page 37together and   went over the homework to make sure everyone understood it....pages 38+39  C,D,E.
We had a brief break and set up as pairs to do partner dictation from the Ventures Teachers disc  Unit 3 lesson C which had the past and present in the dication and they were to write a conclusion with the future.

The December Easy English News has come in.  What are we going to do?  I have papers left over from November.  Students who did not want to ( or could not) pay $1.25.  Would love to know what you think here.

Teach like a champion

I am so glad you like the idea Andrea.  We could all use it to share.
My intention for Monday  is to practice  voice, format matters and right is right. from Teach Like a Champion.
Will let you know what happens.
We are going to
review present simple and present simple continuous
pc with future meaning
do page 36 and 37 in the text book,
Peer dictation from Ventures that uses past, present and has students come up with a future plan.
Homework will be page 38-39 A,B, and C.
Will report back how it goes

Blog topics to share

What would be ways that we could use a blog to improve our skill as teachers.  Tomorrow I am going to begin Unit 3 ( using the be+going to  form of future) and will  ( a promise) also review the simple present and present continuous suing Nancy's review test from some weeks ago.  I wonder if it would be helpful to post our lesson plans?
